London doctor warns of “unprecedented” level of illness after COVID vaccine
The doctor and consultant wrote that the she is “struggling with the failure to report the reality of the morbidity caused by the our current vaccination program within the health service and staff population.”
In a strongly worded letter in response to an article published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ), a London based doctor has described the “levels of sickness after vaccination” as “unprecedented”, and the “coercion and mandating” of vaccinations on staff and the public falling in the realms of a “totalitarian Nazi dystopia.”
The letter, which was published by Dr K Polyakova, a consultant based in London, on April 2nd, was written in response to a BMJ article titled “Do doctors have to have the covid-19 vaccine?”
BMJ’s original article, which featured several medical professionals, argued that the COVID vaccines are completely safe, pushing for the jab to be made mandatory for health workers as they have a moral duty to do so to safeguard their patients.
Colin Melville, General Medical Council medical director of education and standards, said: “Some are understandably concerned about a lack of long-term data, but the importance of this can be overstated. For other vaccines, mild side effects can occur in the first few months, but serious and longer-term problems are largely theoretical for most.
Adding to this, Rob Hendry, medical director at the Medical Protection Society, said: “Medical staff who refuse the vaccine should therefore be prepared to justify their decision and, where possible, mitigate any risks.”

“We would encourage healthcare workers who are reluctant or refuse the vaccine to explore their increased risk of repeated exposure to the virus, the benefits of the vaccination to colleagues, patients, and family, and the wider benefits of reducing the transmission of covid-19 with their supervisor and occupational health.”
Dr Polyakova raised concerns about the uniform opinions of the four medical directors and the lack of recognition for opposing arguments. She said that she is “struggling” with “the failure to report the reality of the morbidity caused by our current vaccination program within the health service and staff population.”
“The levels of sickness after vaccination is unprecedented and staff are getting very sick and some with neurological symptoms which is having a huge impact on the health service function. Even the young and healthy are off for days, some for weeks, and some requiring medical treatment. Whole teams are being taken out as they went to get vaccinated together.”
Dr Polyakova said that in this instance is stupid, unethical, and irresponsible when it comes to protecting staff, because they are being encouraged to take an unlicensed product that is impacting on their immediate health.
“I have direct experience of staff contracting Covid AFTER vaccination and probably transmitting it. In fact, it is clearly stated that these vaccine products do not offer immunity or stop transmission.
“In which case why are we doing it? There is no longitudinal safety data (a couple of months of trial data at best) available and these products are only under emergency licensing. What is to say that there are no longitudinal adverse effects that we may face that may put the entire health sector at risk?”
Dr. Polyakova shared her concerns of making the vaccine mandatory, stating that freedom of choice is vital.
Polyakova defended her position on the COVID vaccine by discussing her personal experience with vaccinations, stating that she has had more vaccines in her life that most people and comes from a place of significant personal and professional experience in relation to the pandemic, as she has managed a service during the first two waves and all the contingencies that follow.
Continuing, the consultant pointed towards the flu being a “massive annual killer”, which threatens the lives of both the young and the old, yet the public have freedom of choice as to whether or not they get the flu vaccine. She also notes that there is a long list of a number of other vaccines that are not mandatory, yet they provide protection against disease of “higher consequence.”
“Coercion and mandating medical treatments on our staff, of members of the public especially when treatments are still in the experimental phase, are firmly in the realms of a totalitarian Nazi dystopia and fall far outside of our ethical values as the guardians of health.”
Polyakova revealed that she fully understands the impact of COVID-19 as herself and her entire family have contracted the virus, including a “relatively young family member” who recently passed away with “comorbidities to heart failure, resulting from the pneumonia caused by Covid.”
Even after having experienced death in their direct family as a result of COVID, Polyakova maintained that people should have freedom of choice when it came to the vaccine.
“Despite this, I would never debase myself and agree, that we should abandon our liberal principles and the international stance on bodily sovereignty, free informed choice and human rights and support unprecedented coercion of professionals, patients and people to have experimental treatments with limited safety data.
“This and the policies that go with this are more of a danger to our society than anything else we have faced over the last year.”
Polyakova ended her letter with the common phrase used by pro-choice advocates: “What has happened to ‘my body my choice?”
“What has happened to scientific and open debate? If I don’t prescribe an antibiotic to a patient who doesn’t need it as they are healthy, am I anti-antibiotics? Or an antibiotic-denier? Is it not time that people truly thought about what is happening to us and where all of this is taking us?”
Dr Polyakova’s concerns about the worrying levels of sickness post vaccination are supported by the UK government’s ever-increasing data on the number of adverse reactions and deaths following the jab.
As of the end of March – which the data inputted via the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme covers – an estimated 10.8 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 15.8 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, had been administered. An estimated 2.2 million second doses (mostly the Pfizer vaccine), had been administered.
The Yellow Card Scheme is the UK’s system for collecting information on suspected adverse drug reactions.
By 21st March, there has been a total of 494,114 reports of adverse reactions to the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines. Included in that number, there were 5230 cardiac disorders, 5613 blood disorders, 542 anaphylactic reactions and 704 deaths.
As a result of the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines, a total of 76 people have lost the ability to see, with the AstraZeneca jab fairing much worse as it accounts for 59 of these reports.
Furthermore, the vaccines have been linked to an increasing number of central nervous system haemorrhages and cerebrovascular accidents. These are different types of strokes that occur due to the rupture of an artery or as a result of blood clots. Up to the 14th of March, there had been ten cases of cerebral haemorrhage resulting in 3 deaths, 4 cases of cerebral infarction resulting in one death and twelve cases of ischaemic stroke among many others.
Matt Hancock and PM Boris Johnson continue to promote the vaccines despite safety concerns.
Despite this, the vaccines continue to be promoted by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Health Secretary Matt Hancock, stating that everyone should take a vaccine when their time comes, and the risk of having a blood clot was the same as “taking a long-haul flight.”
Whilst discussing vaccine safety following the increase in blood clots, particularly with the AstraZeneca jab, the health secretary said that all vaccines in use by the UK were “safe for all ages”, but the “extremely rare” risk of suffering a blood clot, and the higher risk for the under-30s means they could be given other jabs instead.
Additionally, the Prime Minister and Health Secretary are reportedly considering making the vaccine mandatory for care home staff and social care workers. The Telegraph reported leaked details of the proposal last month that showed that the pair had agreed to the proposal and were seeking to change the law and make the injections compulsory.
