A Covid-19 vaccine has been brought to attention by the mainstream media recently, with reports stating that a jab will be rolled out before Christmas. However, discussions of a vaccine are being pushed along with the idea of a ‘digital passport’: An ID which will confirm whether someone has had the vaccine or not.
The dangers of this are immense and should be brought to the public’s attention: Mass surveillance, the invasion of privacy, and targeting of those who do not consent to the proposed immunisation programme. There are some who are calling for mandatory vaccines on a global scale, with restrictions including being unable to travel being forced on those who resist.
The question that needs to be discussed here is: “Should people be able to choose whether they get the vaccine or not?”
